Designing for Digital
Many up-and-coming design enthusiasts will argue that print is dead. And while Annie at Off-Center Design disagrees and would thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to debate that theory, she does love to design for digital applications and advertisements.
What’s a digital application or advertisement?
In a nutshell, a digital application or digital advertisement is basically any design you see that isn’t printed. It can include an image or graphic for social media, a Facebook or Google ad design, a digital billboard ad, or a slideshow.
Social Media
Where do people spend the most time on the web? Good guess— social media. So it makes sense to have a strong online presence for your business where your target audience is spending their time. This usually means you don’t need to be on every imaginable social media platform in existence (who has time for that?!), just the ones that your specific audience will be spending time on. Contact the Off-Center Design team to help narrow down which platforms will benefit your business the most.
As part of your overall brand for your business, be sure to keep your social media consistent, including: profile pictures, cover photo graphics, post graphics, and ads.
Your Website
“Images can be identified, processed, and understood in as fast as 0.013 seconds, while the average American can only read about 5 words per second.” [Read the full article by Annie Hurst here.] Consider that for a moment. While words are vital to your Google ranking success, visuals are even more important to connect with your customers. Strong design for your website is key to making a lasting impression on your customers and ultimately to making the sale.
Bottom line: if you’re looking for strong brand consistency from your Sales Pitch Slideshow to your Instagram page to your website graphics, Off-Center Design can help.
